SS15 - Head to the Hills

Inspired by the enduring timelessness of nature’s simplicity, Josi Faye’s SS15 collection, HEAD TO THE HILLS, takes form in the textures and silhouettes of 1930s pre-war Austria. The new line employs long-traditional modes of construction—the yarn is spun and woven by hand, while each textile is naturally dyed in earth-tone hues, or left raw and untouched. The fresh, minimal shapes evoke the childlike naïveté found in simple living, paralleling the garments’ purpose of unselfconscious, everyday wear. Designer Han Starnes infuses the carefree quality of the wild outdoors and fresh air into each garment made meticulously by women, for women. This assembly of new pieces for Spring and Summer gently entreats wearers to live more fully in one’s clothes, to invest in a world more lasting than oneself, and to head to the hills daily—whether in body or spirit.
